Individual Counselling

A supportive space to explore, understand, and grow

Life can bring experiences that leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or uncertain about how to move forward. Sometimes, even when we're doing our best to cope, our thoughts, emotions, and experiences can become difficult to navigate alone.

Individual counselling offers a confidential, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can explore what you're experiencing, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and discover ways to navigate life's challenges.

At Embodied Path Therapy, I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and supported. Together, we'll work at a pace that respects your experiences, strengths, and individual needs.

How Individual Counselling Can Help

You don't need to be experiencing a crisis to benefit from counselling. Whether you're navigating a specific concern, adjusting to a life change, or seeking greater self-awareness, counselling can provide space for reflection, understanding, and personal growth.

Individual counselling may support you with:

  • Anxiety & Panic: Understanding anxious thoughts, managing overwhelming feelings, and developing strategies to feel more grounded.

  • Stress, Burnout & Overwhelm: Recognizing patterns of stress, establishing healthy boundaries, and strengthening emotional resilience.

  • Depression & Emotional Numbness: Exploring feelings of sadness, disconnection, or low motivation while working toward greater emotional well-being.

  • Trauma & PTSD Recovery: Developing a sense of safety, understanding trauma responses, and gradually processing difficult experiences.

  • Identity, Self-Esteem & Personal Growth: Exploring self-beliefs, strengthening confidence, and reconnecting with your values and sense of self.

  • Grief & Loss: Navigating the emotional impact of loss, including changes in relationships, identity, health, or important life circumstances.

  • Adjustment & Life Transitions: Finding support through relationship changes, immigration, career transitions, and other significant life experiences.

  • Chronic Pain & Mind-Body Connection: Exploring the emotional impact of persistent pain, strengthening coping strategies, and understanding the connection between physical and emotional well-being.

You don't need to identify with a particular concern or diagnosis to seek support. Counselling can also be a space to better understand yourself and your experiences.

My Approach to Individual Counselling

Personalized, Collaborative & Trauma-Informed

I recognize that every person's experiences, challenges, and strengths are unique. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor counselling to your needs, preferences, and goals.

My work integrates evidence-informed approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT-informed strategies, mindfulness, and somatic or body-based practices.

Depending on your needs, our work may involve:

  • Exploring patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.

  • Developing practical coping and emotional regulation skills.

  • Building awareness of stress and nervous system responses.

  • Strengthening self-compassion, confidence, and healthy boundaries.

  • Processing difficult experiences at a manageable pace.

  • Identifying personal values and working toward meaningful change.

I believe in working collaboratively, offering both practical tools and space for deeper exploration, while respecting your readiness and comfort.

What You Can Expect

A Space to Be Heard

Our sessions begin with understanding your experiences, concerns, and what matters most to you. You are welcome to share at your own pace, without pressure or judgment.

Working Together

We'll identify meaningful goals and explore strategies that support your emotional well-being. Counselling may include reflection, skill-building, psychoeducation, and approaches tailored to your needs.

Growing at Your Own Pace

Progress looks different for everyone. We'll regularly reflect on what's helpful, recognize changes, and adjust our work as your needs and goals evolve.

Counselling isn't about having all the answers. It's about creating space to understand yourself, explore possibilities, and move forward in ways that feel meaningful to you.
